Ashley Fiolek’s goals are rather simple: "I want to become the fastest woman motocross racer in history!" she says. "And I'm going to be the first deaf person to become a professional."

She’s not far from that goal. Turning pro in 2008 moves Ashley to the world stage as she competes in the FIM Women's Motocross Series. The American Honda rider has accumulated a long list of national amateur titles and up until recently, regularly competed in the boy’s class. Her inspiration to ride came from her father, a former MX racer, and a couple of guys named James Stewart and Travis Pastrana. She started racing at age 7 and is currently home schooled through Keystone National High School, which allows her to spend more time training and racing. When she is done with her racing career, Ashley hopes to some day work in motocross media. In the meantime, she writes a regular column for the transworldmx.com website. A broken ankle sidelined her for the critical summer MX season in 2007, but that won’t stop #67 from reaching her goals.
